Three bedroom units boast a finished basement with laundry hook ups, main level living room and separate dining area.The kitchen with fridge and stove is accented by private back yard bricked patio. Units have one and a half bathrooms, and three bedrooms on the upper level. There is also a co-op laundry room with coin operated washing machines and dryers. The monthly housing charge for a two bedroom unit is $880 and for a three bedroom is $935. Heat in the unit is electric and shall be paid for by the member. Hot water heaters are supplied and rented by the occupants through Reliance.

Forest City Housing Co-operative is located within walking distance to Food Basics grocery store, Dollarama,Tim Horton’s doughnut and coffee shop, Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy, shopping plazas with restaurants, London Public Library Branch, South East Optimist Park with a splash pad, various churches and Glenn Cairne Public School. The area high school is Sir Wilfrid Lauier which is renowned for it's French Immersion and Music programs, as well as excellent technology shops and sports activities. The co-op is also located on several major bus routes for easy access to downtown and London malls.

To become a member of the co-op an application form must be completed, including a signed consent for reference/ credit checks,  and a non-refundable application fee of $25 per applicant must be paid. If the application is withdrawn or rejected, the fee will not be returned.  Proof of income must also be provided. Once all information is provided an interview will be set up with all potential adults of the household who are of legal age. A decision is then made and the applicants will be notified regarding the results of acceptance. Applications usually take a week to process but may be longer to due to response, inquiries and information collection.
